Arrive in Salta and transfer towards the boutique hotel, La Candela. Take an afternoon privately guided walk highlighting the most traditional corners of this city nicknamed “the Beautiful”. Soon we will go to a typical colonial large house to taste true empanadas from Salta, accompanied by a rich local wine from Cafayate. We can end the evening with a combination of traditional plates made in a local’s kitchen or visit a gourmet restaurant of the city whose specialty is Andean haut‐cuisine.
Today, leave Salta for the picturesque Calchaquíes Valleys crossing the Valley Lerma to enter the Las Conchas Gorge with its impressive lunarlike landscape. Taste some wonderful cured cheese with malbec wine from Cafayate, delicate ricotta and the sweet flavors of the rare dulce de leche made from goat’s milk. Shortly afterwards, we will arrive to the beautiful and exquisite hotel, La Casa de la Bodega, After check in, take some time to relax and check out the view from the surrounding grounds of the hotel.
Enjoy a traditional breakfast in the salon of the hotel in the morning. Later, take a trip with the oenologist through vineyards and a bodega to learn about local wine production. Afterwards, enjoy a wine tasting in the wine cellar. We will take a brief walk in the middle of the incredible rock formations of the gorge to be able to enjoy the landscape from inside with its warm colors and view of the Cafayate Valley and dunes. At dusk stroll by the town and later return to the Hotel Casa de la Bodega. (B)
In the morning, leave for Cachi driving through small colonial villages. When arriving at the gorge, the “Quebrada de las Fechas”, take a walk through the incredible multicolored rock formations. In Molinos, a nearby village, we will visit a small farm and a center of weavers and its old looms. Finally we will arrive at Seclantas, a small village from where we will enter the Colte to visit the craftsmen along the way who practice their ancestral techniques making a variety of ponchos and blankets.
In the morning exit towards Salta, we will cross the National Park Los Cordones and the Encantado Valley to arrive around noon at the city of Salta. Take a stroll in the city and enjoy some free time during lunch before leaving for the Humahuaca Gorge, a Patrimony of Humanity Site. Your evening is free to enjoy dinner at your leisure.
This morning, we leave towards Maimara where we will be received at the “Del Maizal” Restaurant by Chef Gloria Diez Peña who will introduce us to the secrets of the typical Andean food. Later we will taste the tamales that we have prepared and will enjoy a flavorful lunch with plates from the traditional Andean kitchen. In the evening, return to Purmamarca. This is a great time to visit the traditional artisan market with locals selling their art and various regional products.

In the morning leave for the city of Salta & transfer to Salta's airport.
