LAND SAFARI - 8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS

DAY 1 - CUIABÁ - CHAPADA DOS GUIMARÃES

Arrival at Cuiabá/Várzea Grande airport or pick up at hotel and transfer to the Chapada dos Guimarães National Park, by the end of the day.
Check in at the charming Park Eco Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 2 - CHAPADA DOS GUIMARÃES

Day devoted to wonderful hikes trough the National Park.  The hike ends at the 86m high water fall “Véu de Noiva” where we’ll enjoy a traditional meal at the local restaurant, looking down to a huge canyon.

Late afternoon light hike to enjoy sun setting behind the 850m high “São Geronimo” Peak in front of the Lodge. Dinner and night at the Lodge. (B,L,D)

The topography of the area features a small mountain range called the “Tombador Complex”, with rolling valleys and tablelands.  The area has many rivers, lakes and caverns of crystal waters, the habitat of several species of fishes and plants, outstanding for snorkeling and caving.

DAY 3 - CHAPADA DOS GUIMARÃES - NOBRES - PANTANAL

After breakfast departure for a 2-hours-drive towards Nobres passing by impressive rock formations on the way. Arrival at Recanto Ecológico Lagoa Azul to pick up equipments and depart to the aquatic activities which include rafting and snorkeling.

Return to Recanto Ecológico Lagoa Azul for lunch. After lunch departure to Pousada Araras Eco Lodge for Around 3-hours-driving.

Arrival at Araras Eco Lodge Late afternoon hike through surrounding area to a 12 m observation tower and a spectacular view of sunset.

After dinner, night walk to observe the South Hemisphere sky, hear and feel the nocturnal environment. Overnight at Araras Eco Lodge. (B,L,D)

DAY 4 - PANTANAL

Full day dedicated to observing the Pantanal’s flora & fauna at the Araras Eco Lodge private reserve. After breakfast, the guide will lead you on a 2 to 3 hour horseback ride through the pastures, woods and wetlands.

Lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will go on a hike in a different area of the private reserve, allowing you to observe and learn more of the local environment. Overnight at Araras Eco Lodge. (B, L, D)

DAY 5 - PANTANAL

After breakfast travel down private dirt roads, to Sentinela Camp on the edge of the Rio Clarinho. Canoe tour to spot aquatic wildlife, birds and flora; possibility of piranha fishing. Brazilian churrasco style picnic lunch along the banks of the river. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. (B, L, D)

DAY 6 - PANTANAL

Sunrise hike. Breakfast. Enjoyment at lodge surroundings, before your photo safari transfer to Cuiabá. Drop off at airport or city hotel. (B, , )
