Breakfast and departure by flight to Cartagena. Arrival, transfer and hotel check-in. Half day visit to the city’s Colonial district, starting in Parque Bolívar. Around the square, the Museo del Oro, which exhibits pre Hispanic objects, and the Palace of the Inquisition, recognizable from its baroque entrance door. The visit continues to the Santo Domingo church and the cathedral to end in the Ramparts and the Museo de Las Fortificaciones.Meals: - / - / -
Start with a panoramic view of the city from the monastery and church of La Popa. Built in 1606, it is perched on the area’s only important elevation and was formerly called “La Popa del Galeón”, for its incredible resemblance to the stern of a galleon. Visit to the fortress of San Felipe de Barajas, built on the San Lázaro hill in order to defend the city from pirate attacks. Continuation to the old town to visit the convent of San Pedro Claver and the artisan center in Las Bóvedas.Meals: - / - / -

Transfer to the airport and departure to Canaima. Arrival, transfer and check-in in lodge. Lunch. Excursion in curiara -local motor canoe- in the afternoon along the Canaima lagoon. Visitors will be struck by the majesty of the Auyantepuy and the Cañón del Diablo, one of the most impressive in the world and the source of the famous Angel Falls. The water and surface foam in rivers and lagoons are usually pink, a phenomenon generated by the presence of tannin, an organic acid produced by vegetation decomposing under the sun.
