Romancing Costa Rica DeLuxe

Day 1 Arrival Juan Santamaria airport, private transfer Hotel Grano de Oro, Deluxe Room.

 

The hotel maintains the warmth and comfort of a private home. Italian tile fountains grace intimate atriums, ensuring that one is never far from the soothing melody of falling water. Guests delight in the tranquil ambiance of tropical plants and flowers found throughout the hotel. Additionally, a rooftop garden terrace with lawn beds and Jacuzzi provides blissful, secluded lounging.

Day 2 Guided excursion to Poas Volcano & La Paz Waterfall Gardens with lunch, Hotel Grano de Oro.

Early in the morning visit to Poas Volcano. Today you will visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a Nature Park where you walk on truly spectacular trails that will lead to Magia Blanca Falls

Day 3 Ground and boat transfer to Tortuguero. Accomodation at Manatus Lodge.

Today you are invited to one of the most exotic regions in Costa Rica: The Tortuguero National Park. Rich flora and fauna abound in this park. The park is made up by a system of natural and man – made canals that serve as waterways for transportation and exploration.

Day 4 Tortuguero. Accomodation at Manatus Lodge.

 

After breakfast explore the creeks of Tortuguero National Park by boat with a Tortuguero Guide to observe wildlife and flora. Return for lunch to hotel. The rest of the day is free for optional excursions

Day 5 After breakfast boat and ground transfer to Arenal. Accomodation at Montaña de Fuego, Suite.

La Fortuna de Arenal is an excellent base for exploring Arenal Volcano National Park. Arenal volcano is the quintessence active volcano. It's most impressive at a clear night when you may observe red lava.

Day 6 Arenal. Accomodation at Montaña de Fuego, Suite.

 

Spend part of the morning enjoying the hotel facilities and then go off on a wonderful optional horseback ride near the Arenal Volcano, or visit La Fortuna´s waterfall.

Day 7 Monteverde Cloud Forest, Hotel El Establo, Honeymoon Suite.

Today you will drive around beautiful Lake Arenal towards your next destination, Monteverde.

Day 8 Monteverde Cloud Forest, Hotel El Establo, Honeymoon Suite.

You may want to get up early to visit the cloud forest.. A walk through the misty wood is a magical experience. The huge forest is overgrown with bromeliads, orchids, ferns, deer horns as well as moss and the beautiful red-green feathered quetzal breeds here. Other options are the Skywalk.

Day 9  Pacific Coast, Villa Caletas, Junior Suite

 

 After breakfast you drive for about an hour before you stop at Villa Caletas. Villa Caletas expresses a truly unique combination of mountain and seaside resort. Looming 1150 feet above the Pacific Ocean, Villa Caletas shines like a jewel among resorts.

Day 10  Pacific Coast, Villa Caletas, Junior Suite.

You will have a second day to enjoy the spectacular 360-degree panorama from this tropical-jungle perch sweeps over the gulf islands of Nicoya Peninsula to the crescent beaches of Jacó, Herradura and Punta Leona, taking in the majestic mountains. Below, rainforests spread to the sandy shores, where Villa Caletas maintains its own inviting

Day 11 Manuel Antonio National Park, Hotel La Mariposa, Premier Ocean view Room.

Hotel La Mariposa is an award-winning accommodation best known for its stunning 360-degree views of the Pacific Ocean, Manuel Antonio National Park, and surrounding tropical vegetation.  With its Spanish-Mediterranean architecture and well appointed rooms, La Mariposa is magnificent yet intimate.  The hotel offers three swimming pools with great ocean views, meticulously landscaped tropical gardens featuring walkways and trails as well as complementary shuttle service to and from Manuel Antonio National Park.

Day 12 Manuel Antonio National Park, Hotel La Mariposa, Premier ocean view room.

 

You will have a full day to appreciate the National Park Manuel Antonio. In this 682 - hectare national park you will see beaches, islands offshore, lush rainforest with good trails, and may have close - up encounters with monkeys, sloth's and lots of birds.

Day 13 Xandari Resort, Prima Villa

Xandari Plantation consists of spacious villas on a 40 acre coffee and fruit plantation overlooking Costa Rica's Central Valley... The villas, private terraces, furniture and gardens are designed with great attention to detail, and each villa is adorned with original works of art. All villas have a private view terrace, a walled in sun area, a bar kitchen, and a king bed.

Day 14 Transfer to San Jose airport, check in for flight
