DAY 1: Welcome to Equator

Arrive to the international departure in Quito (2,800 meters), there will be waiting for you the guide and the driver, who will receive and drop you to hotel Quito.

DAY 2: Visit the old Town in Quito and Pululahua Crater

The first day in Equator, the group will visit the little colonial city of the Middle of the world; a special place where the equatorial line cross, and you can stand up in both hemispheres. Besides, Intiñán Museum, specialized in Ecuadorian line, waits for you. Then you have a beautiful seen of a little town into the Pululahua Volcano. Lunch. In the afternoon, the vehicle rides up to the Old Town of Quito. One of the main attractive is El Panecillo, with the monument of La Virgen de Quito.

DAY 3: Cañón del Salto Canopy Tour (In Hacienda Santa Rita)

Transfer from Quito, in private transport, to the southern part of Quito. Hacienda Santa Rita where there is one of the nicest attractions in the region, The Salto Canopy Tour. El Cañón del Salto Canopy Tour is a safe way to enjoy the mountain forest. This is an environmentally low-impact adventure; it is suited for people with little or no climbing experience. Afterwards, we will have a delicious box lunch and in the afternoon we will visit a beautiful waterfall, finally we will go to hacienda El Porvenir, where we will have canelazo and empanaditas. At night, dinner and lodging.

DAY 4: Mountain Biking

After complete breakfast we start the mountain biking adventure with an exciting downhill track from a lot located at 4500 m (14,760 ft) on the slopes of Cotopaxi Volcano. In addition to admiring the stunning landscape, the descent to the volcano Limpiopungo Valley is adrenaline filled. This is followed by a cross-country ride through the bed of an old landslide formed by lava and mud flows from past volcano eruptions. We will ride by old ruins dating back to the Inca Empire where we have a lunch break. The adventure resumes when we reach Hacienda El Porvenir biking trough the magical Andean forest filled with abundant flora and fauna, rivers, ravines and waterfalls. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 5: Horseback riding and hiking

After breakfast a brief lesson is given in the morning at Hacienda El Porvenir to teach us how to ride and get acquainted with the horses. Wearing the typical “Chagra” attire, we will begin a visit to the foothills of Rumiñahui volcano, riding side by side with herds of wild horses and bulls. Our native guides will share their knowledge of medicinal plants. The ride takes about 3 hours. Afterwards, a delicious lunch composed of local dishes awaits us at the farmhouse. In the afternoon, we will hike to the Manto Blanco waterfall. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 6 Cotopaxi National Park

In the morning, we leave from hacienda El Porvenir in direction to the Cotopaxi National Park north entrance. From the parking lot, we will begin by climbing up to the refuge(4,800 m /15,744 ft.). Back in the parking lot, we continue on to Limpiopungo Lake. During the exciting journey that we keep on our vehicle, we can admire streams and large rocks where volcanic remains are still evident. We pass the Pucará del Salitre, a strategic military fortress of the Inca Empire. The drive will then end at the farmhouse in Hacienda El Porvenir, where a delicious supper awaits us.

DAY 7 Saquisili Market

After breakfast at hacienda El Porvenir, we will arrange our wallets, and will be ready for the activity of today. The transportation will drop us to a little town called Saquisili, which is know for its famous market. There we will find beautiful and traditional handicrafts of the highlands. On the road we will serve a Box lunch, and the car will transfer to the hotel in Quito. The group arranges the luggage and prepares for a special dinner.

DAY 8: Return flight

Early morning transport to the airport for your continuing flight.
