Horseback Riding Tour 5 days

Day 1 Riding from Hacienda El Porvenir to Hacienda El Tambo.

We will travel in private transportation and with a bilingual guide from Quito to the Hacienda El Porvenir (1h50). Then a brief lesson is given to teach us how to ride and get acquainted with the horses. We will wear the typical “Chagra” attire, and a nice adventure will start. We will ride from Hacienda El Porvenir 6 hours to the Hacienda El Tambo. We will have a delicious box lunch in the middle of the day. Finally you can feel comfortable in El Tambo. Dinner and lodging.

Day 2 Riding from Hacienda El Tambo to Hacienda El Porvenir.

I n the morning a delicious breakfast waits for you, then you will start comeback to Hacienda El Porvenir by a different route always with the bilingual and native guides company. In the middle of the day you have a box lunch. Finally you will get to El Porvenir for rest. Dinner and lodging.

Day 3 Horseback Riding by Rumiñahui Volcano

In the morning a delicious breakfast waits for you, then you will begin a visit to the foothills of Rumiñahui volcano, riding side by side with herds of wild horses and bulls. Our native guides will share their knowledge of medicinal plants. The ride takes about 4 hours. During the riding we will take a delicious box lunch, and finally comeback to the farm and enjoy the Andes peace. A private transportation you take you back to Quito.

Day 4 Horseback Riding to Pasochoa Volcano

B reakfast then our ride begins at Hacienda Santa Rita ecological reserve at 3,300 m (10824 ft.). The ride takes us through native Andean forest until we reach the majestic “páramos” of Pasochoa Volcano enjoying the magnificent view of the neighboring mountains, we rest and enjoy a snack and continue with our journey. At the base of the rock, we hike a short distance to the summit at 4,200 m. (13,776 ft.). This is a very beautiful hike. Afterwards we return to El Porvenir farmhouse.

Day 5 Horseback Riding to Sincholahua.

A delicious breakfast will be waiting for us in the morning. Then we will start a nice riding to Sincholahua foothills into Cotopaxi National Park, nice Andean landscapes in this nice route. We will have a box lunch and comeback to El Porvenir for pick up our stuff and comeback to Quito.
