Day 01: San Pedro Sula – Copán.

The Mayan Quest Honduras

 

Meet and greet at the International Airport of San Pedro Sula and transfer to Copán Ruinas. On the way, you will stop at Finca Santa Isabel, for the Copán Coffee Tour. Here you will hike downhill through nice trails and see with your own eyes the process of growing, harvesting and roasting coffee. You will have lunch at a nice venue within the forest, close to a small waterfall. Continue transfer to Copan. Overnight at Hotel Marina Copan or similar in Copan. Meals included: Lunch

Day 02: Copán.

After breakfast, you will visit the Main Archaeological Site, declared World Heritage Site, the Maya Sculpture Museum and Las Sepulturas, a restored residential area. Lunch at the Hotel. In the afternoon, you will have the choice between three tours: Horse Back Riding, Macaw Mountain Bird Park or the Butterfly Farm. Overnight in Copán. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 03: Copán – Quirigua – Livingston.

After breakfast, departure to the World Heritage Site of Quiriguá in Guatemala. There you will make the tour of the Quiriguá Archaeological Site. Then, you will continue the trip to Rio Dulce, here you will take a boat trip to Livingston. This trip will bring you face to face with many natural wildlife animals such as monkeys, toucans and parrots. Overnight at the Hotel Villa Caribe. Meals included: Breakfast and box lunch.

Day 04: Livingston – Rio Dulce – Flores.

After breakfast, transfer to Río Dulce. Afterwards, you will continue your trip to Flores. Lunch will be served during  the transfer. Overnight at the Hotel Villa Maya or similar. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.

Day 05: Tikal.

After breakfast, full day tour to the magnificent Tikal Archaeological Site, a World Heritage Site nestled in the dense jungle of the Petén. Lunch will be served at the site. In the afternoon, transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel Villa Maya or similar. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 06: Tikal – Xunantunish (Belize)

After breakfast, transfer to the border between Belize and Guatemala called Melchor de Mencos. After crossing the border, you will continue your journey and visit the Xunantunish  Archaeological Site, located only 13 km west of San Ignacio. Xunantunish was the first major Mayan ruin in Belize to be excavated and made available to the public. Visitors cross the river on a ferry. Overnight at the Hotel San Ignacio. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 07: San Ignacio – Caracol – San Ignacio.

In the morning, transfer to the Archaeological Site of Caracol, the largest Mayan ruin site in Belize. Archeologists estimate that Caracol consisted of 35,000 buildings. Overnight at the Hotel San Ingnacio. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.

Day 08: San Ignacio – Belize City

After Breakfast transfer to the International Airport of Belize. Meals included: Breakfast
