The Natural Splendor of Honduras

Day 01: Arrival – San Pedro Sula.

Meet and greet at the International Airport of San Pedro Sula and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the Gran Hotel Sula or similar. Meals included: None

Day 02: San Pedro Sula – Los Naranjos – Tegucigalpa – Valle de Angeles – Santa Lucía.

After having breakfast, transfer to Tegucigalpa visiting Los Naranjos Archaeological Site at the Yojoa Lake. In the afternoon, you will visit the Valle de Angeles and Santa Lucia. Overnight at the Hotel Honduras Maya o similar. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 03: Tegucigalpa – La Tigra – Comayagua – La Esperanza.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will visit La Tigra National Park. Then you will be transferred  to La Esperanza. On the way, you will visit the colonial town of Comayagua. Overnight at the Hotel Casa del Arrollo. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 04 : La Esperanza – Copan.

After breakfast visit the indigenous Lenca town of La Esperanza. Mid day, transfer to Copán Ruins. Overnight in Copán. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 05: Copan.

After breakfast, we will visit Copán Main Archaeological Site, the Sculpture Museum and Las Sepulturas, the Mayan residential area. Afterwards, we will make a horse back riding tour to the Hacienda San Lucas, visiting a place called Los Sapos, a small site located on the hilltops overlooking the Copán valley. Overnight in Copán. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 06: Copan – Tela.

You will have breakfast at your hotel and after this you will visit the Macaw Mountain Bird Park close to Copán Ruins. Afterwards, transfer to Tela. On the way, you will stop at Finca Santa Isabel to do the Copan Coffee Tour hiking its trails to see with your own eyes the process of making coffee, from the plant nursery to the last processing of the coffee beans. Overnight at the Hotel Villas Telamar. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch

Day 07: Tela – La Ceiba.

In the morning, you will visit the Jeannette Kawas (Punta Sal) National Park. In the afternoon, transfer to La Ceiba. On the way to La Ceiba, we will visit a Garífuna Community. Overnight at Hotel La Quinta. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 08: La Ceiba – Pico Bonito – Cangrejal River.

After breakfast tour to Pico Bonito National Park, this beautiful and diverse Park located just south from La Ceiba to hike through a tropical jungle and swim in crystal clear water ponds under beautiful waterfalls. The park covers an extension of land of 680 km2 that goes from sea level to an altitude of 2,435 Mts.(7,300 ft.) Accessible through the rivers Zacate and Cangrejal, it has a cloud forest, several endangered species and many waterfalls and the beauty reaches its greatest splendor during the rainy season with the appearance of new waterfalls visible from distances kilometers away. Overnight at Hotel La Quinta. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 09: La Ceiba – Departure.

Breakfast and departure to the Airport of La Ceiba where you can take a flight back to San Pedro Sula or Tegucigalpa to connect you with your international flight. You can also take a plane to Roatan if you want to realize the Bay Island extension. Meals included: Breakfast
