Ecological Nicaragua

Day 01

Morning transfer to the International Airport in order to take local domestic flight from Managua to San Carlos.  Upon arrival into San Carlos, local guide & transportation will be waiting for you for a transfer to the pier and then to San Fernando Island

After lunch, your local guide will lead you to an afternoon tour to visit the main Islands, local museum and the artist work houses. Lunch & Dinner included.

Overnight at Cabanas Paradise

Day 02

After breakfast you start your trip by boat to Los Guatuzos research center located on the southern shores of Lake Nicaragua and the western shores of the San Juan River. Most impressive in the reserve is the super rich bird life; but monkeys, sloth, caiman, iguanas and agouti are also common. Get ready for a 2 hour trip to enjoy nature and its wonders in this primitive forest.

Rest of the afternoon is free to explore on your own.

Overnight at Cabanas Paradise

Day 03

Breakfast. Today´s ecological adventure is through an area once known as the Gold Route. During the boat trip you will be able to observe a vast variety of monkeys and an enormous diversity of migrating birds, such as eagles, falcons, blue jays, herons, etc. You arrive at El Castillo before lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the Fortress and the town. Lunch & Dinner included. Caymans Tour at night

Overnight at Victoria Hotel, El Castillo town, San Juan river

Day 04

Breakfast.  Early Morning tour to – Bartola Trail. After lunch your local guide will lead you to Pocosol reserve, where you will learn from Ramiro why and how he changed his vision about foresting. Enjoy Delicias de Pocosol private trails, collect local vegetable, fish in the rustic way and cook you own fish!

Overnight at El Castillo town, San Juan river

Day 05

Breakfast. You will have the morning to enjoy our little town. Afterwards there is a boat transfer to San Carlos Port in order to take La Costena flight back to Managua City. Upon arrival a representative will be waiting to transfer you to your next destination.
