Welcome to Nicaragua!!! Your visit to Nicaragua will uncover a land of volcanoes and lakes, with a population who values a good song and a cold beer. Arrival at Nicaragua International Airport. Your day starts with a guided transfer from Managua city to Colonial Leon. Check in to your hotel and then the rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.
Overnight at Los Balcones, Leon
Early breakfast. Right after we will head to Telica Volcano located about 30 kilometers from Leon. The volcano is just over a kilometer high (1,061 meters) and has a huge crater: 120 meters deep and 700 meters in diameter. The private transportation gets to the village San Jacinto, where you will visit the famous bubbling mud pools. From there a trail starts and leads us through cornfields and forests to the edge of the crater of the volcán Telica. (B, L & Dinner)
Overnight in a camping area
We will rise early to climb to a ridge from where you can see the sunrise. After breakfast we will hike down to the city of Leon to have lunch. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to rest or to explore the town on your own.

Overnight at Los Balcones, Leon
Breakfast, a private transfer will take us to the bottom of Cerro Negro. Cerro Negro was formed in 1850 and has been one of the most active volcanoes in Nicaragua, with the last eruption occurring in 1999. We will spend some time on the top enjoying the views over the volcano range, the plains and highlands of Nicaragua and the Pacific Ocean. Afterwards, a spectacular descent through the loose rocks and sand of Cerro Negro’s black slopes.
Overnight at Los Balcones, Leon

Breakfast. Before heading with your local expert to the Colonial city of Granada, a stop at Masaya Volcano will be made. The transportation will stop at the observation point of the crater edge and from there, you can choose to take an easy or moderate trek with your expert.
Arrival to Granada city and the rest of the day is at leaisure.

Overnight at Patio del Malinche, Granada
Starting at Granada, you take a 45 minute drive to the slopes of the Mombacho volcano where the “Cutirre” coffee farm is located at the Mombacho volcano natural reserve. The adventure begins on a paved road and right from the start we will be surprised by the biodiversity of this nature reserve and enjoy the breathtaking views. When we reach the summit, we will understand why this ecosystem is a cloud forest. Today includes a 4 hour trek down the Puma Trail.
After lunch we will return to Colonial Granada. (B & Lunch included)
Overnight at Patio del Malinche, Granada
Breakfast included –rest of the day is to enjoy on your own. You can either relax at the hotel or opt for a day excursion which we can arrange for you. If you would like to explore on your own we recommend visiting Granada’s museums, markets and central park.
