Inca Trail to Machu Picchu 3 days

DAY 1: CUSCO - PISKACUCHO - LLULLUCHAPAMPA

At 5:00 a.m. We will pick you up in your hotel and travel to the village of Piskacucho, where we will begin our trek. First, we visit Llactapata, and then continue on to our campsite at Llulluchapampa.

DAY 2: LLULLUCHAPAMPA - PHUYUPATAMARCA- WIÑAYWAYNA

This section of the Inca Trail is considered both the most attractive and the most difficult section of the trek as we climb steeply to cross the highest point of the Inca Trail at 4,200 meters/13,780 feet above sea level. We will finish the day by hiking down to the Wiñaywayna archeological complex, where we will make camp for the night.

DAY 3: WIÑAYWAYNA - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

The most anticipated day of our hike, we will start the trek very early. We will arrive at the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, and enjoy a 2.5- hour guided tour. After our tour of Machu Picchu we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes and then return to Cusco by train. Breakfast included. B

NOTE: This trek is quite a lot harder than taking the trail over 4 days and should only be attempted if you really dont have the extra day spare. You should be in good physical condition to attempt this trek.
