After your arrival in Lima we will meet you and transfer to your chosen hotel. For Classic 3*/4* clients this will be the Boutique Hotel Second Home or similar and for Luxury Travellers the 5* Miraflores Park Hotel or similar. Enjoy the rest of the day as free time in this frantic capital city.
Today you will be collected from your hotel for full day tour of Colonial and Modern Lima, visiting the Lima Cathedral and the Church and Convent of San Francisco amongst other sites. After time for lunch you will visit a museum of your choice. Its a full day of sightseeing in this crazy but historic metropolis.
In the morning you will be transfered to Lima airport for your short flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival in Cuzco we will meet you and transfer you to you chosen hotel. For Classic travellers this will be the Boutique Hotel Casa San Blas or similar and for Luxury Travellers the fabulous Monasterio Hotel, subject to space of course.
In the afternoon you will enjoy a Cusco city tour visiting the Inca Fortress of Sacsayhuamán, the Cuzco Cathedral and the most important temple of the Inca Empire, the Coricancha - Inca Temple of the Sun.
Collection from your hotel for a full day tour of the Sacred Valley, visiting the Inca ruins of Pisac and Ollayantambo also the Market at Pisac, a great place to buy souvenirs. You will have an English speaking guide all day and a great buffet lunch included in the sunny valley.
Today you will have an early start to catch your chosen train to Machu Picchu which will be either the Vistadome or luxury Hiram Bingham service.
After reception in aguas Calientes and your bus transfer to the Machu Picchu site you will enjoy a private tour with a qualified English speaking guide. Enjoy the rest of the day as free time to enjoy the incredible site. In the late afternoon you will return to your chosen hotel in Aquas Calientes, the town that nestles in the valley below Machu Picchu.
For Classic travellers we recommend the Inti Inn, Machu Picchu Inn, or similar. For Luxury travellers we recommend the Pueblo Hotel or the Sumaq Hotel, both excellent high end hotels down in the village. If you wanted to stay right at the gate of Machu Picchu you could choose the Sanctuary Hotel, the location cannot be beaten.
A day to revisit Machu Picchu and enjoy this fabulous site at leisure. You may choose to climb Huayna Picchu, the peak that overlooks Machu Picchu and affords fantastic views and photo opportunities. In the late afternoon you will board the train for your trip back to Cuzco. You will leave the train at the last station before Cuzco, Poroy, for a more swift and convenient transfer by road back to your hotel.
Today we fly from Cusco to Lima to catch an onward connecting flight to either the Argentinian or Brazilian city serving Iguazu falls. Iguazu Falls is the widest waterfalls in the world and is truly awesome. What makes these falls even more fantastic is how close you can come to them on the many walkways and by speedboat which motors directly into the falls.
Depending on flight schedules and prices it may be that you pass through Buenos Aires on the way to Iguazu. If you wish to add more days to visit Argentina please let us know.
For Classic travellers we recommend the Internacional Hotel and for Luxury travellers the Tropical Cataratas Hotel, the only hotel within the National Park and it has views of the falls.
Today you will have a tour of the Argentine side of the falls with several tour options available to suit all interests and budgets.
Enjoy a different angle with your tour of the Brazilian side of the falls including an amazing boat ride actaukky up the river under the falls.
We will transfer you to the airport on the Brazilian side for your flight to Rio de Janeiro and then transfer you to your Hotel. For classic travellers we recommned the Copacabana Rio Hotel or similar, just a block or two from the famous beach. For luxury travellers it could be the Copacabana Palace recently voted the best Hotel in Latin America and 15th best hotel in the world.
In the afternoon we will collect you for your half day tour to the new Wonder of the World the Corcovado, or White Christ statue, towering over the city of Rio. The views are unforgetable!
Today you will take a tour to see the other famous Rio landmark, the Sugar Loaf Mountain, which you will ascend by a two stage cable car. The views from this site are also incredible, you really cant go wrong, make sure you have plenty of space on your camera memory card.
Toiday is a free day to enjoy the city and perhaps relax on Copacabana Beach before a transfer to the airport for you flights home.
This tour can be extended in a variety of ways perhaps just a few additional days to enjoy Rio at your leisure or an all inclusive tour of the Pantanal, the largest wetlands in the world. Also please do ask about our special Carnival Tours in Rio. These however do need to be booked well in advance.
